Libros Para Niños

Book titled 'El Agua Agujero'
In Libros Para Niños every student wrote a book in Spanish for under privileged kids in Nicaragua. The printed versions, for which we raised $15, we are sending to Nicaragua to kids who are learning to read.

Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead is a Mexican tradition were the dead our honored. It is believed that this tradition was started in the time of the Aztecs. It is believed that on Dia de los Muertos that the dead come back for 24 hours to visit there family and loved ones. Dia de los Muertos was original celebrated in Mexican countries but is now celebrated in countries all over the world. It is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd. It is celebratyed my honering people with an alter of things that would lure the dead back to the living world(personal possessions, favorite foods, flowers, and candles).
I chose to celebrate my grandpa. To learn about my grandpa I looked at photos of what he liked to do and my dad am me talked about him. When picking things for the alter I picked things that I remembered most about him.
I liked this project and enjoyed learning about a tradition in Mexican culture. I thought that I did a good job in the project but I could have spent more time writing about mi abuela.
