Leadership: A leader is someone the helps the group be successful. I think I am a leader, An example of this was yesterday I took control of our group so we were successful.
Critical-thinking: Someone that uses critical-thinking looks at the pros and cons of an idea and with that decides is it achievable but still an ambitious idea. At the Beginning of the project I look in depth at the pros and cons of an idea.
Open-minded: A person that is open-minded sees the glass half full and like to take other people's ideas into consideration. I am definitely not open-minded. At the beginning of this project I just thought it was not the best idea to change what the exhibition would be like.
Creative thinking: When I think of someone that is a creative thinker I think they are willing to change their idea after they have started. I don't like to change my idea once I have started. A good example is when Sarah and Stephen kept adding new things to the project, I didn't want to do them because it seemed like we were young the same thing again, but just a little different.
I would like the final product of this project to blow the socks off the people that attend. From the moment someone enters they are speechless and they are curious of what is going to happen. I want the project to have multiple rooms and be a journey of how other people are socialized.
I would like parents to say that it was the best exhibition that the had ever been to. I think that when you go to an exhibit or movie that it is a successful experience if you are still talking about it the next day, and I want this exhibition to be like that. I would like Sociology professor to tell their class/colleagues about the exhibition the next day there for proving that it was a successful experience.
To make sure we have the right information we have to “measure twice cut once,” What I am say is that we have to check the information a couple of times because we only have one time to present it. I also think that multiple rounds of peer critique is good.
We have been designing an exhibition for our socialization project. We are changing the idk of an exertion to make it more interactive for the people attending it. We have just decided or final idea but we are still fine tuning the details. Be for deciding our final idea we all split into different groups of 4 to 6 member and brainstormed what we wanted the exhibition to be like. My group's idea was extremely similar to the idea that was picked. This idea is like a maze that you are forced along, like the cycle of socialization.
This exhibition is trying to to agrees how everyone was socialized and the positive and negative aspect of that.
I am excited about building/designing the final product, a couple of good possible roles are Construction, Design and maybe just maybe Project Manager.
I really want to work on making the exertion cool to walk to and I think either Construction or Design would be a good way to make that possible.
I feel that this is a really good idea and I am all for changing the style of what exhibitions are like. With that I think we are forcing change. It feels that we are making this happen way too quick and that changing such a big thing should be done over a couple of projects.
